About three weeks ago I started getting emails from people in the USA asking if I could supply them with Ivermectin. What was interesting about these enquiries was that they were from doctors or people whose doctors suggested that they contact me to buy Ivermectin.
Well, at that point I knew very little about Ivermectin, I had just seen it mentioned a couple of times in the newspaper. So to be responsible, before I started organising the shipment of Ivermectin for people, I did some serious research about Ivermectin and COVID 19 and would like to share the results with you.
Since the advent of COVID 19 there have been numerous attempts to “re-purpose” existing antiviral drugs as potential cures or treatments for the coronavirus. Initially a number of direct acting antivirals (DAAs) such as Sofosbuvir and Daclatasvir and Remdesivir showed great promise in laboratory trials.
You may remember that when Donald Trump was diagnosed with COVID 19 he was immediately treated with GILEAD’s re-purposed Hep C DAA Remdesivir and the anti-inflammatory drug Dexamethasone.
This treatment had two effects:
First, the DAA, Remdesivir, stopped, or reduced, the coronavirus’ ability to replicate.
Second, the Dexamethasone, reduced the inflammation in the patient’s lungs caused by the COVID 19 infection.
And, as you would remember, Donald was back at work within a week, despite him being in the high risk category of being an overweight man in his 70’s.
The problem was that Remdesivir was very expensive and had to administered intravenously, that is it has to be injected directly into the patient’s bloodstream via a vein multiple times.
The same applied to using the combinations of Sofosbuvir + Daclatasvir, good antivirals but expensive.
But the idea is right, stop the virus replicating and reduce the inflammation in the lungs to speed recovery and reduce symptoms.
What was needed was a cheap and effective antiviral that could be taken orally as a pill. Lots of antivirals were tried and tested but whilst many showed some promise the most successful to date appears to be Ivermectin.
Ivermectin, is from a family of drugs discovered in the 1970’s in Japan. It is made from compounds extracted from a naturally occurring soil bacteria. These compounds were discovered to have anti-parasitic and anti-viral qualities. Ivermectin was approved for human use in 1988 and has been used by hundreds of millions of people to safely treat a number of disorders including lymphatic filariasis.
More recently it has been discovered that Ivermectin has antiviral qualities that appear to prevent coronavirus replication. Whilst Ivermectin’s antiviral qualities are still being studied it is known that ivermectin prevents coronavirus replication and may also prevent the COVID 19 virus from forming the “spike” that the virus uses to enter our cells. It may also have some anti-inflammatory effects.
The potential of Ivermectin against COVID 19 gained international media attention after the release of the results of double blind trials done in Israel at the Sheba Medical Centre by Prof Eli Schwartz whose aim was to see if ivermectin could reduce the infectious period (viral shedding) in patients with a COVID-19 infection.
The trial was a double-blind trial comparing 47 patients receiving ivermectin 0·2 mg for only 3 days vs. 42 patients receiving a placebo. All were non-hospitalized but with a confirmed COVID-19 infections.
A nasal swab was taken at recruitment and then every two days for six days.
At the end of the 6 day trial 34 out of 47 (72%) patients using ivermectin arm achieved an undetectable viral load compared to 21/ 42 (50%) of those given the placebo. COVID 19 cultures from nasal swabs taken at days 2 to 6 were positive in 3 of 23 of ivermectin patients compared to 14 of 29 in the placebo patients
Conclusions There were significantly lower viral loads and viable cultures in the ivermectin group. The results of this ivermectin research seems to show that if the drug were given in the early stages of a COVID 19 infection that it could prevent patient deterioration and hospitalization.
So to summarise, it would appear that the use of a dose of 12 mg of Ivermectin once daily for 5 days in the early stages of a COVID 19 infection may significantly reduce the onset of severe symptoms in a statistically significant number of patients. This may, in turn, significantly reduce the need for hospitalisation, freeing up hospital beds.
Most trials examining the treatment of COVID 19 with Ivermectin have used a dose of of one pill of Ivermectin 12 mg per day taken orally for around 5 days.
Even before the research by Prof. Schwartz into Ivermectin and COVID 19 was published word got out about the results and caused a flurry of further research. The diagram below shows a summary of recent trials and research into the effects of Ivermectin on COVID 19. There is also a link to take you to more complete summaries of the research.
Because the patents on Ivermectin expired some years ago it is a widely manufactured medication that has been used safely on hundreds of millions of humans for more than 30 years.
Using my existing network of suppliers I can organise the shipment of Ivermectin from India at very reasonable prices to most countries.
Buying Ivermectin through my Buyers’ Club is very simple you just need to send me your shipping details and payment.
The cost of a 12 mg pill of Ivermectin is US$1.45 cents. The minimum order is 100 pills. Shipping and handling is US$40. Shipping is by express airmail.
To buy Ivermectin in Australia requires a doctor’s prescription however there are quite a few doctors in Australia who will write a prescription for Ivermectin for people in Australia.
I can also help you to buy Ivermectin through my Buyers’ Club. If you do not have a doctor’s prescription for Ivermectin I may be able to help you organise one.
